City Honours Hamilton's Seniors at Annual Gala Event
HAMILTON, ON – Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 – Tonight, Hamilton’s seniors were recognized for their outstanding volunteer contributions to the community at the City of Hamilton’s 21st Annual Senior of the Year Awards at Michelangelo’s Events and Conference Centre. Hosted by Connie Smith, local media personality and television producer, this annual award program celebrates seniors who are 65 and older and contribute their time and talents in service to others or the community. With links to Hamilton’s 10-year Strategic Plan and Plan for an Age-Friendly City, this event celebrates the role seniors play in enriching the social, cultural or civic life of our community and helping Hamilton be the best place to raise a child and age successfully.
