About the Secondary Plan
The Urban Hamilton Official Plan generally identifies the intersection of Centennial Parkway and Queenston Road in Centennial Neighbourhood as an important focal point for transit, commercial uses and other activities in east Hamilton. It is an area poised for substantial growth, redevelopment and change in the coming years, due to its strategic location and planned transit improvements.
The Secondary Plan will establish more detailed direction for different land uses (i.e. residential, commercial, mixed use, etc.) at different intensities, as well as direction for urban design, the environment and transportation improvements.
Once the Secondary Plan has been approved, it will provide the foundation for development within this area and facilitate redevelopment opportunities.
