HAMILTON, ON - May 1, 2017 - The City of Hamilton is pleased to present the following events at its civic museums this May, 2017.
Canada 150 Open House - Free admission May 6 and 7 at Hamilton Civic Museums and Auchmar Estate
Hamilton Civic Museums and Auchmar Estate are unveiling exhibits and hidden treasures to commemorate Canada 150 celebrations. Visitors will enjoy FREE admission during the weekend of May 6 and 7 from 12 noon to 4 pm.

Our Hamilton: Through Their Eyes
The effects of the First World War were so far-reaching they impacted the lives of every Hamiltonian. Follow the course of Hamilton’s involvement from the initial ‘call to arms’ to the post-war period through treasures from the collections of the Hamilton Military Museum including letters, photos and personal items owned by Hamiltonians and experience the war Through Their Eyes.

Trains, Boats and Meccano in the Park!
The museum is pleased to welcome hobby enthusiasts all weekend long. Catch a ride on miniature coal-burning steam-powered trains with the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers. The Confederation Marine Modellers and friends will be demonstrating a variety of radio-controlled model boats and the Canadian Modeling Association for Meccano and Allied Systems (CMAMAS) will be here for its annual Meccano Day demonstrating their models. All ages.
