City turns out the lights for Earth Hour on Saturday
HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton will show its support for Earth Hour on Saturday, March 24, 2018 by turning off all non-essential lighting in corporate facilities, which includes City Hall and the Lister Block, between 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Hamilton Water will also participate in the initiative by minimizing the use of electricity without compromising the delivery and quality of Hamilton’s water supply. Security lighting will remain on, to ensure public safety.
This worldwide campaign promotes the recognition of global warming by turning off lights for one hour to take action against climate change. Residents in Hamilton are encouraged to take action to show their support for the cause.
