Closures on the Sherman Access beginning Monday
HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete construction activities, the City of Hamilton will be closing sections of the Sherman Access beginning Monday, July 23, 2018.
East leg: The east leg of the Sherman Access will be closed so crews can install drapery mesh to protect against rock falls. The east leg will be closed beginning on Monday, July 23 at 6 am. The City anticipates re-opening the east leg of the access on August 31, 2018.
West leg: The west leg of the Sherman Access will be closed to allow crews to complete the reconstruction work that began in summer 2017. The west leg will be closed beginning August 7 at 6 am. The City anticipates re-opening the west leg of the access on September 21, 2018.
Sherman cut: There will be no access to the Sherman Cut while both the east and west legs of the access are closed. Therefore, the Sherman Cut will close on August 7, 2018 and will reopen on August 31, 2018.
