Full closure of the King Street East off ramp on the Red Hill Valley Parkway begins tomorrow
HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete permanent repairs to the bridge structure, the City of Hamilton will close all lanes of the southbound King Street East off-ramp on the Red Hill Valley Parkway beginning tomorrow for approximately five weeks.
Lane restrictions on the off-ramp have been in place since April 2018 when damage to the bridge was discovered. Temporary repairs allowed the off-ramp to remain partially open over the summer, but permanent repairs require a full closure.
The closure on the off-ramp will begin on Tuesday, November 13 and is expected to wrap up on or before December 20, 2018.
Motorists should detour around the closure using the posted detour route via the Queenston Road off-ramp, west on Queenston Road, south on Nash Road S, and westbound on King St E.
The City of Hamilton thanks motorists for their patience as we complete these important infrastructure repairs.
