Lane restrictions on Barton St E beginning Tuesday

HAMILTON, ON - To safely complete watermain valve replacements, the City of Hamilton will reduce Barton St E down to single lanes in each direction between Frederick Ave and Cope St beginning Tuesday, October 13, 2020 for approximately seven weeks.

As well, the single eastbound lane will be closed between Kenilworth Ave N and Harmony Ave to accommodate work being done at the Kenilworth Ave N intersection beginning Monday, October 19 until Friday, October 30, weather permitting. Motorists should follow signs for detour.

The entire project is expected to wrap up on or before November 27, 2020, weather permitting.

Motorists can expect delays.

Businesses in the area will remain open throughout the duration of the construction.
