Let’s Talk About Waste: City of Hamilton asks residents to contribute to the 25-year Solid Waste Management Master Plan
HAMILTON, ON – Beginning today, the City is launching an online survey as part of its Solid Waste Management Master Plan to gather public opinion on the City’s current Waste Management Program and to contribute to the future direction of waste minimization in Hamilton for the next 25 years.
The survey will consider feedback from residents regarding waste reduction and waste diversion programs, including the use of the green bin program and Community Recycling Centres. Survey results will contribute to the Solid Waste Management Master Plan that will map out the City’s 25-year waste plan and identify short-term activities that will support the early objectives of the plan over the next 5 years. The plan will prioritize minimizing waste and extending the life of the Glanbrook Landfill.
The online survey opens today and will be open until Friday, February 7, 2020 on the City of Hamilton website. All residents and business owners are encouraged to participate.
