Local road closure on Harvest Road in Greensville
HAMILTON, ON - Harvest Road between Brock Road and Ofield Road in Greensville will be closed on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27. Police will be on site at both intersections controlling traffic. Only local residents and the waterfall shuttle will be permitted to access the area.
The road will be closed between 8 am and 9 pm pending weather and traffic conditions.
These measures, along with additional signage and communications, are in place to assist with traffic control in the area and to guide visitors to the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area waterfall shuttle service, located at 1000 Highway 5 West, at Christie Lake Conservation Area.
The 2019 fall colour season has been an exceptionally busy one for the conservation area. The road closure is being implemented in preparation for this weekend to prevent unauthorized parking and traffic congestion which are major concerns for the neighbourhoods surrounding Spencer Gorge Conservation Area.
