Mayor Eisenberger to be tested for COVID-19

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger will be tested tomorrow for COVID-19 after experiencing symptoms associated with the disease. The Mayor will be self-isolating at home until he receives his results.

The testing is being done out of an abundance of caution after the Mayor experienced several symptoms Thursday morning. The Mayor’s Virtual Town Hall taking place this evening on Cable 14 will be cancelled as a precaution.

Staff in the mayor’s office and those who have come into contact with him recently are monitoring themselves for any symptoms and will take appropriate action as necessary.

The Office of the Mayor will share the Mayor’s testing results when they become available.
