Mountain Brow Road between King Road and Flanders Drive will permanently close on June 10

HAMILTON, ON - On June 10, 2019, Mountain Brow Rd between King Rd and Flanders Dr in Flamborough/Waterdown will permanently close as per an approval through the Waterdown Corridor Class Environmental Assessment. As per the conditions of a 2005 Ontario Municipal Board settlement, the closed section of Mountain Brow Rd will be replaced with a multi-use pathway and storm water drainage improvements to facilitate the Mountainview Heights neighborhood development.

Local access for existing Mountain Brow residents will be maintained throughout construction however, traffic accessing Mountain Brow Rd from King Rd will be detoured along the North Service Rd, west of Waterdown Rd.

The extension of Burke St, south of Mountain Brow Rd is expected to be completed this fall.
