Northbound lanes on the Red Hill Valley Parkway closed overnight on Sunday

HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete spot asphalt removals and repaving, the City of Hamilton will close the northbound lanes of the Red Hill Valley Parkway between Mud Street and Barton Street this Sunday night.

Pending weather, the closure will begin on Sunday, August 19 at 5 pm and is expected to wrap up before 6 am on Monday, August 20 2018. Motorists should detour around the temporary closure using the signed detour route eastbound on Mud Street West and northbound on Centennial Parkway.  

The closure will allow crews to take samples of the existing asphalt, which will be tested for potential future recycling in resurfacing the Red Hill Valley Parkway in 2019.
