Opening Reception for Stylo Starr’s Anne Foster Windows Display

HAMILTON, ON - The City of Hamilton invites the public to attend the opening reception for the newest Anne Foster Windows display on Fri. Mar. 8, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm at the Tourism Hamilton Visitor Centre, 28 James Street North.

Created by local artist Stylo Starr, the window display features digital collages that incorporate images from Hamilton’s music scene. The opening reception will include remarks from Starr and music by DJ Smooth Transitions. The reception takes place during the monthly James Street North Art Crawl however Starr’s display can be viewed until May 27, 2019.

Quick Facts

• Window displays rotate every three months from September 2017 through June 2019.
• Located along James St. N. on the 1st floor of the Lister Building, the storefront windows that house the displays were the entrance to the Anne Foster Music Shop for more than 50 years (1942-1995).
• The display by Stylo Starr is one of eight artist-designed window displays that celebrate Hamilton’s music scene as part of the Anne Foster Windows pilot program.
