Paramedics present 2018 results to Emergency & Community Services Committee
HAMILTON, ON – On Thursday, July 11th, 2019 Hamilton Paramedic Services will present its 2018 annual report to the Emergency and Community Services Committee. Paramedic Chief Michael Sanderson will share results achieved over the past year through implementing evidence-based decision making and successful partnerships with our health care providers and community partners. The data available in this report allows Paramedics to continue to monitor, measure and deliver the level of service that the city requires.
As part of the Committee meeting, Primary Care Paramedic Gord Mooney will be recognized for recently receiving the “Paramedic Chiefs of Canada Award of Excellence for Client Centered Initiatives” for his work as part of the integrated Social Navigator team. The Social Navigator Program is a partnership-based Police and Paramedic service program focused on assisting and managing some of the most challenging people to serve within the community. This partnership provides a service that helps clients with complex needs connect to the community services they need while reducing unnecessary responses by both Police and Paramedics.
