Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for residents of Delbrook Court in West Hamilton
HAMILTON, ON - July 6, 2018 – A precautionary Boil Water Advisory (BWA) is being issued for the residents of Delbrook Court, affecting 26 properties, while a temporary municipal water supply is being installed. This is being done to accommodate emergency repairs on the watermain supplying water to Delbrook Court.
No water quality concerns have been reported, nor are water quality concerns suspected. This is a precautionary measure as Hamilton Water conducts sampling and testing over the next 48 hours to confirm the safety of the drinking water in the temporary waterline. When the water in the temporary waterline has been tested and found to be safe for use, the precautionary BWA will be lifted. The earliest anticipated time for lifting the BWA is Monday July 9.
Hamilton Water is phoning residents and distributing yellow coloured Boil Water Advisories door-to-door to homes within this area.

“This is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of Delbrook Court residents as the City verifies the safety of the temporary water supply. We are asking that residents boil their water for one full minute before drinking or using it for activities when water could be swallowed until we are satisfied that the advisory can be lifted. Using bottled water is an alternative to boiling your water.”
