Road closure of First Road West between John Murray Street and Mud Street West
HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete underground infrastructure installation, traffic signals installation and road works, the City of Hamilton will close all lanes of First Road West between John Murray Street and Mud Street West beginning August 12, 2019 for approximately 12 weeks.
One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on Mud Street at the First Road West intersection, for a duration of this project. Turning movements will be restricted for east / westbound traffic on Mud Street West at the intersection.
The closure will begin on August 12, 2019 and is expected to wrap up on or before November 4, 2019. Motorists are asked to detour around the closure using Isaac Brock Road.

The busses will be detouring via Highbury Drive, Picardy Drive, Lormont Boulevard and Trafalgar Drive to Mud Street West.
Businesses in the area will remain open throughout the duration of the construction and access to all the residents will be provided.
