Supporting Musicians through Professional Development
HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton, in partnership with the Hamilton Music Advisory Team’s (HMAT) Musician Sub-committee, invites local musicians to attend a free Hamilton Musician Conference on Saturday October 19, 2019 at the David Braley Health Sciences Centre (Auditorium), 100 Main Street West, Hamilton. Online registration is required at www.bruha.com/event/4949.
The conference, now in its third year, has been developed to support musicians who want to gain insights and knowledge that will help grow their entrepreneurial and music business skills. The half day program is comprised of networking opportunities and discussion panels with topics that include: touring as an independent artist; copyright ownership; how to build a team; and marketing - developing an electronic press kit. Topics were selected based on industry feedback, observations collected from musicians who attended previous events and conferences, and commonly asked questions received from emerging artists.
