Update: McNeilly Road Escarpment Access Closed until May 31

HAMILTON, ON -The McNeilly Rd escarpment access is currently closed in both directions due to falling rocks and debris. City crews have been investigating and are clearing debris. The road is expected to re-open May 31, weather permitting.

To fully stabilize the slope, further work is required to reduce the risk of having another failure in the near future.  Work on the access was halted today due to rain and the City requires more time to complete repairs.                                        

The City thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation as we work to ensure continued public safety along the escarpment roadways.
