Westbound LINC closed this weekend for maintenance

HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton will close all westbound lanes on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC) this weekend to conduct maintenance.

The westbound lanes will be closed from the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway/Mud Street to Mohawk Road West beginning at 9:30 pm on Friday, August 23 until approximately 11 pm on Sunday, August 25. Access between Hwy 403 and the Mohawk Road exit will be maintained.

This closure marks the first of two maintenance weekends on the LINC that will allow crews to complete spot repairs to the asphalt, some sections of shave and pave resurfacing, clearing of catch basins, installation of new reflectors and repairs to some signage.

The eastbound lanes of the LINC are scheduled to be closed for maintenance between September 6 and September 8, weather permitting. More details are available at www.hamilton.ca/lincmaintenance and on Twitter @CityofHamilton

Traffic is expected to increase as a result of the closures, and motorists should allow extra time and plan alternate routes.
