The City of Hamilton is completing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) along Highway 52 extending from north of Powerline Road West to south of Powerline Road East. The primary purpose of the project is to examine options to improve roadway safety for all users including vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
Location: Highway 52 extending from north of Powerline Road West to south of Powerline Road East
Study status: Initiating
Classification: Schedule C
The project will look at transportation system modifications including (but not limited to) items such as:
- new turning lanes
- intersection realignment (including a roundabout)
- rumble strips
- lighting/signage.
Additional issues including stormwater management, natural environment and cultural heritage impacts will also be examined as they pertain to improvements needed along the roadway.
