Schedules & Detours

A new fixed-route service, route will connect Waterdown to Aldershot GO Station and Burlington Transit at Plains Road. Route 18 will operate at a 30-minute frequency.

On Saturday, November 30, several streets in Waterdown will be closed from 6 PM to 10 PM for the Flamborough Santa Claus Parade. As a result, service on MyRide On-Demand will end at 5 pm and Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer service will be provided on two temporary detour routes.

Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer will be divided into two routes: eastbound (EB) and westbound (WB). 

• Eastern detour route will provide service along Waterdown Road, Mountain Brow Road, and the neighborhood north of Dundas, between First Street and Avonsyde Boulevard.
• Western detour route will provide service to the Walmart Plaza and the neighborhood on the north side of Dundas, between Clappison and Riley. 
• Both routes will depart from Aldershot GO Station. Please check the destination sign on the front of the bus to ensure that you are boarding the correct route.

Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer – Eastern Detour 

• From Aldershot GO Station Platform 10, buses will follow the internal road, turning left on Alayne Bryk Way, right on Waterdown Road, right on Mountain Brow Road, continue on Burke Street, left on Dundas Street, right on First Street, right on Niska Drive, left on Boulding Avenue, right on Parkside Drive, right on Avonsyde Boulevard, right on Dundas Street, left on Burke Street.

• Continue on Mountain Brow Road, left on Waterdown Road, left on Alayne Bryk Way to Aldershot GO Station.

• Turn right at the first entrance (bus-only roadway), loop around to arrive at Platform 10.

• To exit, turn left on Alayne Bryk Way, left on Waterdown Road, left on Masonry Court, right on Cooke Boulevard, right on Plains Road, right on Alayne Bryk Way, and then right at the first entrance to loop around by the station and return to Platform 10. 

Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer – Western Detour

• From Aldershot GO Station Platform 10, follow the internal road, left on Alayne Bryk Way, right on Waterdown Road.

• Take a left for the on-ramp to Highway 403 westbound, exit at Highway 6 northbound, then right on Dundas Street, right on Leavitt Boulevard, and left on the first internal roadway.

• At the stop sign, turn right, loop via the internal road, and proceed to the bus stop on the west side of the Walmart building.

• Exit via the north side of Staples, turn right at the stop sign, then left, right on Leavitt Boulevard, right on Dundas Street, left on Clappison Avenue, right on Parkside Drive, right on Braeheid Avenue, right on Riley Street, right on Dundas Street, left on Leavitt Boulevard, left on the first internal roadway, and at the stop sign, turn right, looping via the internal road to the bus stop.

• The bus will exit the plaza using the internal road by Staples, turning right at the stop sign, left at the next, right on Leavitt Boulevard, left on Dundas Street, left on Highway 6, following the signs to Highway 403 QEW eastbound. Exit at Waterdown Road, continue through the intersection to Aldershot GO Station (Alayne Bryk Way), turn right at the first entrance and continuing to Platform 10. 

• To exit, turn left on Alayne Bryk Way, left on Waterdown Road, left on Masonry Court, right on Cooke Boulevard, right on Plains Road, right on Alayne Bryk Way, and right at the first entrance to loop around and return to Platform 10.
