Battlefield House Museum & Park Presents ‘Austen-Tacious’ - A Regency Romp
HAMILTON, ON – The public is invited to experience the elegance of the Regency era at Battlefield House Museum & Park’s “Austen-tacious” – A Regency Romp event on Saturday, November 24 from 7 to 10 pm. at the Cellar at Grandview in Battlefield Park, 77 King St. W. Stoney Creek.
The event will celebrate the writings of author Jane Austen and help bring the charm of the early 19th century to life with costumes, music, dancing and refreshments. Tickets can be purchased for $20 per person by calling 905-662-8458.

- Jane Austen is known for the novels she wrote two hundred years ago and the more recent movie adaptations of these novels.
- The era in which she lived and wrote, known as the Regency period in England, paralleled the years when the Gage family lived in Battlefield House.

About Battlefield House Museum & Park
Battlefield House Museum & Park National Historic Site is owned and operated by the City of Hamilton and is located at 77 King St. W. in Stoney Creek. The Georgian-style homestead is the site where, in 1813, the Gage family was held in the cellar as the Battle of Stoney Creek raged outside. Built in 1796, Battlefield House provides visitors the opportunity to experience life in Upper Canada during the early 1800s.
