Celebrate the first-ever Hamilton Newcomer Day on July 27, 2018
Hamilton, ON – The City of Hamilton is saying a “big welcome” to newcomers to our city. The Hamilton Immigration Partnership Council, housed within the City’s Planning and Economic Development Department, is hosting the first-ever Hamilton Newcomer Day on July 27, 2018 at City Hall.
It’s time to celebrate our past, celebrate our future and celebrate the richly diverse and inclusive Hamilton that we are today.
EXPERIENCE IT - Watch a moving citizenship ceremony in which 40 Hamilton residents, from 15 countries around the world, become Canadian citizens
ENJOY IT – Fire up your taste buds with budget-friendly lunch combos of all types including halal and vegetarian (a $5 lunch deal)
DELIGHT IN IT - Settle in for some awesome free entertainment, music and dance that showcases our vibrant city
The festivities includes games, activities and workshops hosted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Serve Ping Pong, the Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton Police Services, Hamilton Fire Department, Hamilton Paramedic Services to name a few.
