City crews responding to large watermain break on Barton St E

HAMILTON, ON – City of Hamilton water crews are currently responding to a significant watermain break on Barton St E between Woodward Ave and Waverly St.

Due to the location and severity of the break, the eastbound lanes of Barton St between Woodward Ave and Waverly St are completely closed.

The cause of the break is currently unknown.

The road is expected to be open by 3 pm on Monday, January 13, 2020.

Residents and motorists are being asked to avoid these areas if possible.
