City of Hamilton 33rd Sport Volunteer Awards nominations now open
HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton is looking for nominations to recognize the many dedicated sports volunteers in the Hamilton community at the 33rd Annual Sport Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.
The award categories include:
- Distinguished Adult Sport Volunteer Award
- Youth Sport Volunteer Award
- Dr. Ray Johnson Coaches Award
- United Trophy Outstanding Volunteer Award
- Ray Lewis Athletic Excellence and Community Service Award
- Ron Foxcroft Fair Play Award
- Dr. Gene Sutton Club Excellence Award
- City of Hamilton Sport Hero Banner Series
An appreciation dinner to celebrate the contributions of the nominees and award finalists is being planned for September 26, 2019 at the Hamilton Convention Centre by Carmen’s. This year’s keynote speaker is Joe Bowen. Bowen is a Canadian sportscaster known as the voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
