City hosts drop-in public open houses to discuss planning for future communities
Hamilton, ON – The City of Hamilton is hosting a series of drop-in public open houses to talk about planning for future communities, with a focus on housing types and density, neighbourhood planning, and residential zoning. It wants public input on imagining new communities and what they will look like – how we live now and how we want to live in the future.
At the open houses, attendees will have an opportunity to see an overview of the planning projects the City is working on including: a long-term growth strategy for the City (GRIDS 2 and the Municipal Comprehensive Review), planning for new communities (Secondary Planning – Elfrida Growth Area Study) and Residential Zoning. They will also be able to share ideas on ways to develop great communities, and their likes and insight on important parts of neighbourhood planning so we can get it right in the future.
