CityLAB Project Showcase: Students and City working together to create a better Hamilton
HAMILTON, ON - Tomorrow on April 5, 2019, the media and general public are invited to attend CityLAB Hamilton’s Spring Project Showcase - an event that highlights the latest innovations co-created by students and City staff to address challenges affecting our city.
CityLAB Hamilton is a unique innovation hub that pairs Hamilton’s city leaders with students and staff from McMaster University, Mohawk College and Redeemer University College to take on the toughest challenges and experimenting with new solutions, all while mentoring and engaging the next generation of leaders.
Current projects to be showcased will include:
- Dismantling Barriers to Diverse Leadership in Hamilton: Increasing Indigenous Inclusion within the Environmental Sector
- Enhancing Public Safety
- Waste Diversion in Multi-residential Buildings in Hamilton
- Aging Well in Hamilton: Developing a Sustainable and Equitable Policy Path for Discounted Seniors Programs and Services
- (Re)envisioning the HSR
