Lest We Forget – Hamilton Remembrance Day Services
HAMILTON, ON – The public is invited to join Veterans at Remembrance Day services and parades across the city in honour of all who served Canada during time of war, armed conflict and peace.
Official City of Hamilton services coordinated with the Hamilton Veterans Committee will take place on Sunday November 10 and Monday November 11 as follows:
Sunday, November 10
Hamilton Garrison Parade and Service
Parade: 10:15 am, marches from John Foote V.C. Armouries, 200 James Street North to Veterans’ Place at Gore Park
Service: 10:45 am, Veterans’ Place at Gore Park, 64 King Street East
Monday, November 11
Hamilton Remembrance Day Service, 10:45 am
Veterans’ Place at Gore Park, 64 King Street East
Quick facts
- The Garrison parade will leave the James St. Armouries at 10:15 am, march south down James Street to Gore Park followed by a service of Remembrance. Military units will fill Gore Park and King Street
- The service on November 11 will include the addition of an LED video screen projecting live footage of the service for attendees. The service will also be live- streamed by Cable 14 and made available on their website.
- The Hamilton Military Museum will also be featuring a weekend of free admission in honour of Remembrance Day starting Friday, November 9.
