Long-term closure at the intersection of White Church Road and Miles Road beginning Monday

HAMILTON, ON  - July 27, 2017 - In order to remove the old bridge over the Chippewa Trail, the City of Hamilton will close White Church Road between Ferris Road and Tyneside Road, and Miles Road between Chippewa Road and Airport Road for approximately three months.

The closure will begin on Monday, July 31 and last until mid-October, weather permitting. Crews will remove the old bridge above the roadway, and reconstruct the road and trail so they meet at the same level.

The Chippewa Trail (the Rail Trail) will also be closed between Airport Road and Miles Road throughout the duration of the construction.

Motorists should detour around the closure using the posted detour routes.

The City of Hamilton thanks residents for their cooperation and patience during this closure.
