Mayor Eisenberger to boost commuting by cycling
Hamilton, ON - Mayor Fred Eisenberger is to make the inaugural ride in a grass roots “Commuting with Council” campaign to highlight the challenges and rewards of cycling to work or school.
Mayor Eisenberger will commute by bicycle with cycling advocate Tom Flood and his son to his elementary school. From the school they will cycle across downtown Hamilton to Café Oranj to debrief.
“This a great way to better understand what it is like to commute to school as a child might see it. I am pleased to make the inaugural ride to help promote commuting by bicycle for students and working people.” - Mayor Fred Eisenberger
Commuting with Council is in partnership with Cycle Hamilton.
