Southbound lanes on the Red Hill Valley Parkway closed overnight on Sunday

HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete sampling of the asphalt, the City of Hamilton will close the southbound lanes of the Red Hill Valley Parkway between Barton Street and Mud Street this Sunday night.

Pending weather, the closure will begin on Sunday, July 22 at 5 pm and is expected to wrap up before 6 am on Monday, July 23, 2018.

The closure will allow crews to take samples of the asphalt, which will be tested for potential future recycling in resurfacing the Red Hill Valley Parkway in 2019.

Additionally, overnight rolling lane closures to accommodate the installation of reflective markers are still ongoing on the Red Hill Valley Parkway between Greenhill Avenue and Dartnall Road.
