Visit the Spring Tide Bulb Show for the first smells and sights of Spring
HAMILTON, ON – The first day of spring is still a few weeks away, but the early signs will be blooming at the Gage Park Greenhouse starting this weekend. The City of Hamilton’s Spring Tide Bulb Show kicks off this Friday, March 9 and runs throughout March Break until Sunday, March 18, 2018.
A great way to spend some family time during the school break, the Spring Tide Bulb Show features hundreds of blooming spring bulbs, colourful floral displays and a special children’s area.
Held at the Gage Park Greenhouse, the show is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free but food donations to the Hamilton Food Share are encouraged. Parking at the greenhouse is free.

- This year’s Spring Tide Bulb Show is themed Spring Time In Paris
- The show will feature 10,500 tulips, 5,800 pansies, 4,500 muscari, 4,500 daffodils, 1,200 hyacinths, 1600 primula, 1,900 ranunculus and at least 14 types of flowering branches and shrubs
- The first Spring Tide Bulb Show was held in 2007
- The show was developed to offer the public respite from the long winter weather months by offering free access to the floral displays in the Gage Park Greenhouse
- The show is organized entirely by the City of Hamilton’s Horticulture staff
