Wherever you’re headed – the City encourages you to take your bike!
HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton wants to encourage residents to embrace cycling as a healthy and smart way to get around our City all year long, wherever they may be headed. To celebrate this, the City’s annual ‘bike to work day’ on May 27th has now become Bike Day in Hamilton. Last year, the City welcomed over 700 participants for this annual event, which is a regional initiative aimed at encouraging all employees, residents and students to bike to work, school or wherever they may be going. A number of schools will join the Bike Parade to Hamilton City Hall to participate in Bike Day festivities. Cycling receptions will also be hosted at Mohawk College and McMaster University. To help mark the 11th anniversary of this popular event, the City is also proud to welcome players from Hamilton’s new soccer team, The Forge FC.
