The City has initiated the Municipal Class EA process to construct the twinning trunk watermain for more reliable water services in Waterdown community.

The need for watermain twinning at downstream of Pumping Station (PS) #16 was identified in the City’s Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS) Infrastructure Review due to the criticality of the single trunk main to supply water to Waterdown community, as described in the City's Water and Wasterwater Master Plan (2006).

The purpose of this Class EA study is to determine the preferred alternative to construct the trunk watermain twinning within the study area.

Public Consultation

Consultation with, and input from the public and government review agencies will be a vital component of the Class EA study. Members of the public and review agencies are invited to provide comment for incorporation into the overall planning and design of the Waterdown twinning trunk watermain in the above study area. Public Information Centre No. 3

Project Team will present the evaluation and selection of the preliminary preferred trunk watermain route and the potential impacts and mitigation measures. This is the third and final PIC for this study.

We are presenting the watermain route recommendations and seeking input from the public at this PIC ahead of finalizing the report in 2024.
