Bus News Summer 2024
Scheduling & Route Changes effective June 23
Summer service starts on Sunday, June 23, running up to and including August 31. Changes include a return to summer weekday service frequency on several routes. Service frequency means that buses will arrive at your stop at a fixed time interval, such as every 20 minutes or every 30 minutes.
New service schedules for the following routes are available at hamilton.ca/HSRschedules
Peak service: Monday to Friday, from 6 to 9 am and 3 to 6 pm.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Customers who use a personal mobility device (PMD), such as a wheelchair, scooter, walker, and CNIB cardholders, will be required to pay a fare as of July 1, 2024. Regular fares will apply.

Coming in September 2024, HSR is improving evening and weekend service across the city so we can get you where you need to be seven days a week.

HSR150
We are celebrating our 150th anniversary all year long. We kicked off our celebrations with Customer Appreciation Week, May 19-25, offering our first $1.50 fare day, free rides on our HSR150 retro buses and commemorative giveaways.
We also celebrated the opening of the exhibit, Take a Ride with HSR: Celebrating 150 Years of Connections, at Tourism Hamilton’s Visitor Experience Centre, 28 James St. N. This free exhibit will run from May 21 to December 21, 2024 and is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The curated exhibit looks back through the years and towards the future of transit in Hamilton.

HSR Trip Planning Tools
As a result of the cyber incident, the HSRnow real-time bus arrival and trip planning service is currently offline. Summer bus schedules, effective June 23, are available on third-party trip planning tools, like Google, Apple & Transit.
To get your HSR bus schedule:
- Visit hamilton.ca/HSRschedules to download a schedule.
- Pick up a printed schedule at the HSR Customer Service Counter at the Hamilton GO Centre at 36 Hunter St. E.
