Construction to begin on Garth Street
HAMILTON, ON - June 16, 2016 - On Monday, June 20th, Hamilton’s Public Works Department will begin work on Garth Street from Stone Church to Rymal Road. Associated work on Rymal Road will also be part of this project and is expected to begin this fall. More details will be shared as they become available.
The project involves updated street lighting, a multi-use asphalt pathway, concrete curbs, sidewalks and a new asphalt roadway. Traffic signal improvements will also be implemented, including a new signal at Claudette Gate.
Lane restrictions will be required to complete this work so motorists should expect delays in the area. HSR service will be maintained. Work on Garth Street is expected to be completed by November 2016.
