Statement from Mayor Fred Eisenberger on the Federal Election

HAMILTON, ON - Congratulations to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his team on their re-election, and congratulations to all returning and new Hamilton MPs elected to represent our community in Ottawa: David Sweet, Filomena Tassi, Scott Duvall, Bob Bratina and Matthew Green. Thank you to everyone who put their name on the ballot this election in the City of Hamilton.

I look forward to continuing to build on the positive partnership with our Federal government to develop stronger communities and cities. As with most large urban cities, Hamilton continues to face challenges in the areas of social and affordable housing, infrastructure, and revenue tools that can better support municipal government.

Our community is counting on us to work together to build solutions to these complex challenges.
