HSR Detours for Santa Claus Parade
On November 16, there will be HSR route detours for the Hamilton Santa Claus Parade:

Bus Stop Changes
Effective September 1, 2024, these bus stop changes will be in effect.
Route 11 Parkdale
- Stop “Paramount opposite Pembroke” will now be known as “Valley Park Loop”
- Bus Route 11 Parkdale will not be stopping at “Paramount at Valley Park Loop”
Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer
Route 18 (Northbound and Southbound) will be moved from HOLLYBUSH to CLAPPISON

Detour of Route 7 - Locke and Route 34 - Upper Paradise for crane work
As a result of a Tower Crane Erection on Hunter Street from Caroline Street to Hess Street Closure Route 7 Locke and 34 Upper Paradise will be on detour from Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 6 am to 7 pm. Detour details, including a list of closed stop, and a detour map, can be found below.
Detour Details:
Route 7 Locke
- Westbound: From Hunter Street and Bay Street, Right on Bay Street, Left on Jackson Street, Left on Hess Street, Right on Hunter Street and continue regular routing on Hunter Street west of Hess Street.
- Eastbound: Eastbound buses will not be affected by this closure.
Route 34 Upper Paradise
- Southbound: From Hunter Street and Bay Street, Right on Bay Street, Left on Jackson Street, Left on Hess Street, Right on Hunter Street and continue regular routing on Hunter Street west of Hess Street.
- Northbound: Northbound buses will not be affected by this closure.
Stop closure and temporary stop locations:
The following stops will be closed for Route 7 Locke Westbound and 34 Upper Paradise Southbound during the detour:
- Hunter at Hess
- Hunter at Queen
The following stops will in use for Route 7 Locke Westbound and 34 Upper Paradise Southbound during the detour:
- Jackson at Hess
- Queen at Hunter

Due to construction on York Boulevard traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Route 8 - York (Fall Schedule)
Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 6 Aberdeen and 7 Locke.

Route 9 - Rock Gardens (Fall Schedule)
Operates from James and Main to Rock Gardens, Woodland Cemetery and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Along most of the Rock Gardens route, buses will stop only at designated bus stops. In Woodland and Holy Sepulchre Cemeteries, however, the bus will stop anywhere on request. Simply flag the bus driver so he/she knows to stop. The "flag zones" are indicated on the map.

An east-west route traveling from University Plaza in the west end to Eastgate Square in the east end. This route is interlined with 55 Stoney Creek Central and 58 Stoney Creek Local.

The bus stop located at University Plaza will provide drop-off service only for Route 1 King and 10 B-Line Express, September 3 to December 28, 2024. Please use the stop located on Osler Drive at University Plaza.
